Save and Protect Each and Every One

There are a few things that I am (more) passionate about when it comes to awareness and prevention. I believe that everything needs to be supported and people need to be aware of the different causes they can support. Here is a list of awareness months and what month supports what: Awareness Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention month and also Autism Awareness month. Because of my career choice  I deal with both of these. I am mandated by the state to report any and all signs of child abuse/neglect that I should witness or observe. It is not my job to figure out if it really is abuse/neglect but its better to report a situation and it turn out to be nothing then not report a situation and it turn out to be something. As of 2010 it was said that more then 5 children die of child abuse/neglect DAILY!

Also because of my career, I have experienced children with autism and I know that my journey in experiencing that is not over. 1 out of every 88 children born are diagnosed with some forms of autism. That is a staggering rate and it's even more prominent in boys than girls. It is said that for every 1 girl that has autism, 4 boys are diagnosed. There are many different signs and red flags that are accustomed to the different spectrum of autism. Visit this link to learn more: Autism Speaks

Let's not stop when April ends. Let's use each and every day throughout every year to protect and safe our children. For they are our future. And it shouldn't hurt to be a child.
